We continue our trek through Layton Lake District, this time trying to meet Doc's handgun challenge - downing two animals during a night time hunt. It proves more frustrating than even we think as the first two deer just shrug off our shots with the .357. So we put our thinking cap on and pick up the .22 pistol and search for smaller game, managing to bag a mallard and a couple of rabbits. We do at least manage to take out another Blacktail or two, so the night isn't a total loss.
