Jackie Charlton was an English footballer and manager who played as a defender. He was part of the England team that won the 1966 World Cup and managed the Republic of Ireland national team from 1986 to 1996 achieving two World Cups and one European Championship appearance.

He was also a wonderful storyteller - here he was back in 2009 with an amusing anecdote about England's 1966 World Cup-winning captain and his friend, Bobby Moore.
