Everyone knows the 3DO video game console...but not everyone knows about the cancelled 3DO M2! I have been doing my best to bring this rare and obscure retro gaming platform to everyone...and today I have something extra special...a video taking a look at Battle Tryst on the 3DO M2 and comparing it to G.A.S.P!! Fighters' NEXTream, also known as just GASP or Deadly Arts on the N64! One 3DO M2 game, one Nintendo 64 game...and some deep connections!

It's such a bummer the 3DO M2 got cancelled...but that doesn't mean we cant have some fun with it and talk about the shared development connection of Gasp and Battle Tryst. While I may consider Battle Tryst a hidden gem video game...GASP I would not! But it feels like the Nintendo 64 got a 3DO M2 game ported to it...except also not at the same time!
GASP might not be a great fighting game, or even a good 3D fighting game (seriously...its mediocre at best) but its certainly a piece of the fighting game community history and video game development history! Almost makes you think the 3DO M2 arcade games got a home port!
Plus we get to talk about some video game development history...which I always love! Even if compared to something like Tekken, Virtua Fighter or even Battle Tryst itself...Deadly Arts just isn't that great!
Sad as it is the 3DO M2 console was cancelled...a tiny bit of it feels like it lives on with a Nintendo console! Now if there was just a port of Battle Tryst to a home console!
But it did become an arcade board from Konami with Battle Tryst, Heat of Eleven 98, Total Vice, Evil Night and my fav game on the platform...Tobe! Polystars!
