If you wander around Hive structures long enough you might find a tomb husk. These are small spherical objects that can be used to house the essences of lesser Hive souls. What the Hive use them for isn't clear, but thanks to Toland the Shattered we know that they can be used to break the bindings on Hive doors that bar access to their deeper ritual chambers.
