The MSI Z690 Tomahawk (or the MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk as I guess we have to call it now) is a great continuation of the legendary MSI Tomahawk motherboard line! It is one of the best budget Z690 motherboards around with a lot of great features. It's a step-up from the MSI PRO Z690-A we covered recently in most ways that matter. But for a lot of other people the improved MSI Z690 Tomahawk specs may not justify the higher MSI Z690 Tomahawk price. Regardless, this MSI Tomahawk Z690 motherboard does pretty much everything you could want right.

It's been a while since this motherboard came out, and since then, the MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk WiFi has can out and usurped this motherboard in pretty much all areas. So is the MSI Z790 Tomahawk WiFi worth it over the MSI Z690 Tomahawk WiFi?
