In Castell de Ferro, Granada, a speedboat dropped around a dozen migrants just meters off the shore of Sotillo Beach during peak hours. Fully clothed, they jumped in and attempted to flee into the tourist crowds. Vacationers and beachgoers chased them down—one man pinned a migrant to the ground until the Spanish Civil Guard arrived. Officials detained nine individuals altogether, while some migrants escaped.

Multiple witnesses described the arrival as “surreal”—the boat moved slowly straight toward the beach, almost indifferent to being caught. The government later called it an "isolated" case—the second such landing in Granada for 2025.
