Things Go Bump In the Night-Dark and Deep Chichuki Views
It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Views, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. Today, we're checking out Dark and Deep on Steam. Fans of creepy podcasts will enjoy this one. I'm going to try something different with these video write ups in terms of giving a more less-detailed write up.
You play as Samuel Judge, a fan of the mysterious conspiracy podcast, "Dark and Deep." Along the way you will have to listen to the same podcast you love to figure out what the hell is going on near you. You will have to solve puzzles and dodge all kinds of crazy stuff along the way.
I was glad to be able to have the option to use a controller to play the game as I'm not the biggest keyboard player. However, there were moments where I was having a tough time using the controls. There were times when I couldn't see what I needed to because I couldn't change the resolution or make the game a windowed display. This would be a welcome addition to all games; having the option to change things like that.
Having to explore different locations was pretty cool and added to the ambiance of said locations. I thought it was pretty cool to listen to the podcast ingame to try and paint a picture of what was going on, like in the cave early on in the game. That being said, it was very difficult to actually see in some locations and thus tough to figure out just what to do.
