"Dice, Dice Baby!" Pip My Dice DEMO-Chichuk Plays
5It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. It's Next Fest and I have a few interesting games for you. we're starting with Pip My Dice. This game feels like Poker and Yahtzee on Speed.
For games like this, I usually go with a few playthroughs of the game because the gameplay isn't too long. That being said, I think I have found a new thing to get hooked on and that's Pip My Dice. I found myself wanting to go back and play more Pip My Dice. A game with such a simple idea that makes you want to play more and more is a fun idea.
You're trying to get a certain score to advance to the next trial/level and along the way you gain money. That money that can be spent on modifiers for your score or dice panels that can change your dice altogether. There is a ton of skill involved and you never know when the dice gods won't give you a favorable roll. I recommend that you play the trial version first to get things down before you jump right into playing. That will help things out in the long run.
There were times where I thought the modifiers were broken and for a time, they were. BUT when you get further and further into the run, things might go south quickly.
I didn't have on my Bingo Card a dice/Yahtzee Rougulike this year. I'm also hooked on it and have to recommend Pip My Dice to more people. I'm hooked and you will be too once you play it!
