Things You Didn't Know About Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer | Entertainment #rudolph #rednose
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer first appeared in 1939, created for Montgomery Ward as the star of a coloring book. The original story wasn’t about fog, but rather the lack of lights for Santa's sleigh! The 1964 Rankin/Bass special isn’t the first adaptation—Fleischer Studios made a 1948 version for Montgomery Ward’s advertising. Other names considered for Rudolph were Rollo, Reginald, Romeo, and Rodney. Despite being beloved for decades, Rudolph’s story is still copyrighted, with a company forced to rename its beer "Rude Elf's Reserve" in 2003. Rudolph will enter public domain in 2034!
