Amon Lanc, the Naked Hill and capital of the Silvan Elves under King Oropher during the Second age, is now Sauron's stronghold in the Third Age. Unbeknownst to the residents of Mirkwood, Lorien, and the Anduin, the entity known as the Necromancer was Sauron in disguise. In the year 2941 of the Third age, the same year Erebor is reclaimed, the White Council Led attacked Dol Guldur and sucessfully drove Sauron out and back to Mordor. Ten years later in 2951, Sauron declared himself and sent 3 of his Nazgul to reoccupy Dol Guldur. With smaug defeated by Bard the Bowman, it is now up to Khamul the Easterling to gathers forces of goblins, orcs, and easterlings under the banner of the eye and defeat Sauron's enemies to the north.
