This album made me cry
The Greeting Committee is a alternative/indie band from Kansas City. I recently discovered their music while browsing through Spotify and found the album "This is It". It's a rollercoaster of emotions, featuring a range of indie sounds from fun and extravagant to melancholic and sad. While it's not perfect, it's about the songs that really made me fall in love with the band and the way they craft a narrative about childhood, growing up, alienation, and regret. These themes are explored in a simple yet touching way, highlighting the importance of communication, acceptance, and the realization that family dynamics are rarely black and white.
I wanted to showcase the songs that left an impact on me and made me CRY like a goddam baby. Hope you enjoy and don't forget to give the album a try!
