Greetings fellow gamers! This is Gamer Guy (In a Suit) from the Echo Army YouTube channel! Today I am bringing you a review of the indie text-based CYOA This Book is a Dungeon. This Book is a Dungeon was released on Steam on October 9, 2015 by Developer Nathan Meunier & Black Shell Media.

The "Too Long, Didn't Watch" Review:

Neat (but very dark) little CYOA and the price is right! 3/5 and worth about $5

The "Meat & Potatoes" Review:

This little game is quite interesting and is a little fun too. Some positives on this one include a great story-line, some graphics (which is more than some CYOA's) and some interesting battles and encounters. Fans of the RPG-Style of CYOA's will enjoy this quite a bit. Be forewarned however, some of the subject material is extremely dark and graphic. The level of despair in this game is pretty high. Some drawbacks to this game include the somewhat repetitive nature of having to replay certain areas of the game, the lack of audio and it is somewhat predictable after a while. It is also a bit pricey at over $5. However, if you can pick this up on sale and are not bothered by dark subject matter, you'll enjoy this. The enemies are quite Lovecraftian and the story is pretty much on par.
