This Boss Was Annoying to No-Hit (Crowsworn Demo Boss)
Crowsworn got an updated demo for backers today that shows off more of the gameplay which overall was a blast and looks very promising. The second and final boss for this demo is a good challenge and was intended to be higher difficulty than what's expected for the final game. For a hitless challenge, however, this was pretty tedious to do due to the minions ricocheting off walls at pretty fast speeds when they spawn and getting even faster when the boss was at low health. It simply felt most attempts were RNG whether I'd get hit rather than being able to dodge effectively.
Due to that I went in with the upgraded scythe and the mask that boosts damage at low HP (I stayed at 2 HP to quit to menu to resume outside the boss arena, flask to 3 HP, make an attempt until I got a hit, and repeat since this was significantly quicker for attempts than dying and running back). If you're able to do enough damage certain moves get skipped in its rotation (i.e. normally after its sliding around it summons minions instead of bouncing).
Also, the Corvian punch ultimate seems really, really weird with its targetting so I didn't use it. Corvian Slam is useful (like descending dark) but the iframes are significantly less so it's very easy to get hit from its recovery.
