The Marvel vs Capcom franchise is one of the largest legacy franchises in gaming. It managed to get a lot of people who would've never given fighting games a chance a gateway into the genre just thanks to it having Marvel characters. But that's not the only versus game in Capcom's stable. They also have Capcom vs. SNK. This collection is a big deal for Capcom going forward and however it performs is going to impact if we get more versus games or not.
