Weapons are always the talking point of any soulslike game, and Lies of P is no exception. Neowiz's title boasts an impressive array of weapons, each having its own separate use. Based on their damage, weapons are divided into three types: Slash, Blunt, and Strike. While viewing a weapon, players can see the kind of damage it deals and its stats.
Some weapons are better for a specific kind of boss, which is why players should try to get as many weapons as they can. For example, a weapon with a short reach would require players to get extremely close to an enemy, which could prove to be problematic. In such a case, wielding a weapon with more reach is better. Other than damage, weapons are broadly classified into normal and special categories.
Weapons that fall into the normal class can be combined to suit players' needs. Special weapons, on the other hand, cannot be combined, but players won't need to do so as they have good stats. However, some bosses in Lies of P need more than just the right type of weapon --players will also have to upgrade their equipment. Normal weapons can be upgraded with the Moonstone, but special weapons need the Dark Moon Moonstone of the Covenant for initial enhancements.
The Dark Moon Moonstone of the Covenant can be used to raise the level of special weapons by +3. It is a very useful item but not easy to obtain. The Dark Moon Moonstone of the Covenant can be found in Polendina's inventory once players have found a couple of Krat Supply Boxes.
These can be used to increase Polendina's inventory, giving players the option to buy different useful items, including the Dark Moon Moonstone of the Covenant. Depending on how many boxes players have given Polendina, the butler will have a varying number of Dark Moon Moonstones of the Covenant.
