✏️ Velaster is another 2D Dark Souls / Soulslike that currently has a demo on steam that I wanted to try out.. while there is a severe lack of polish, for an indie soulslike, it's not nearly as bad as I expected, and has some really interesting traversal with wall climbing and ledge-grabs you wouldn't expect from this game genre.

VELASTER is a gruesome 2.5D side-scrolling action combat game set in the Middle-earth called Malum. You will find yourself growing in battles against various monsters and bosses. Take revenge that remains in your fading memories.
