BTW, it is indeed not a dating sim! Though it seems a lot of people improperly refer to visual novel games as 'dating sims' ... even the author of the game calls it an 'adventure' game instead of a NVL (I would definitely call this a NVL and not adventure or dating sim). The genres have a lot of similarities, though, and there's no real standard usage. Since I play a lot of these kinds of games, I have big distinctions between them though ;)

Since the theme of the game is indeed a date, I guess through some loose definitions you could call this a dating sim :)
