Gundam Evolution is one of the newest hero shooters on the block. Released a month before Overwatch 2 in September of 2022, this game attempted to rival the blockbuster franchise with tactile hero shooter gameplay themed after Gundam lore. One year later, this game is shutting down, with a player count in the hundreds and queue times that are hours long. In this video, AndrewChicken explains why he thinks the game failed where Overwatch, Paladins, and Team Fortress 2 succeeded.
