About a decade ago my son and I ran a public minecraft server called "Minecrafted". It was run on Ubuntu on some disused hardware left over from work. It was, fabulous. My wife was doing some cleaning a couple of weeks ago and found a backup from 2012. For the record, I tried recovering from the original server backups (they were backed up nightly) a few years ago, with either failure or a completely empty world. Manage my surprise when I dropped this on my M1 Mac and it "just worked". This is a short tour...
