A goofy fantasy track included in the EA Sports line of NASCAR games from the mid-2000's, which were not intended to be simulators, not only directly inspired an entirely new event on the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series calendar, but influenced the outcome of the championship. And it's absolutely hilarious.

They really ran a race at Dodge Raceway Stadium. And a guy locked himself into the championship final using an exploit his little brother showed him when they were twelve years old, goofing around on the game.
