This scrapped and hidden mode is the future of Mario Kart! Introducing Mario Kart Double Dash's reversed game mode which had almost replaced mirror mode, previously new to Mario Kart 64. Since Mario Kart Tour already has this feature there is a good chance we will see a reversed cup or reversed tracks game mode in the next Mario Kart game, possible Mario Kart 9 or Mario Kart Ultimate!
