This Star Trek animation took 6 hours to render...
We here at The Glitching Hour take pride in building new skills. One of those new skills we found ourselves interested in, especially after the release of the Halo mod tools, is creating Blender renders. Blender is a 3D creation application that is used in the movie and gaming industry for a range of different reasons. A lot of it is VFX though. Being able to use Blender is a great way to create realistic and beautiful renders. We are big fans of space and Star Trek, so it seemed only natural for us to make our first render based off those.
We followed a tutorial to learn a lot of the more procedural side of Blender. This tutorial showed a lot of important Blender skills, such as material editing, procedural modeling via geometry nodes, animation and rendering. This 10 second animation took 6 hours to render.
