This Week in UNC Baseball with Scott Forbes: Tournament Time

North Carolina goes into the ACC tournament as No. 7 and joins No. 2 Virginia and No. 11 Georgia Tech in Pool B. The Diamond Heels open Tuesdays 3 p.m. game against the Yellow Jackets and close the pool game vs. the Cavaliers on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Each pool winner advances to the semi finals of the tournament on Saturday If two or more teams have an equal pool record. the higher seeded team advances If playing like a Vance or a Mac . sometimes those injuries are harder to avoid because you go hard in the pockets. you run hard in the pocket. In the outfield you can run into the wall... were lucky to have them. Another guy who really Center can play is Carter French. he can really defend. that gives us some options. Forbes: It gives us a stabilizer in the line up. Hes a Mikey Madej guy. We can put him in the fifth. sixth or seventh hole between Stokely and Castagnozzi which will give you speed in the middle. The guy can hit and run and really defend. I wasnt sure if he could play at Clemson. They had the bases loaded. somehow we got out of there and then we got a run in the 18th and they had the bases loaded. no outs. And were going to get out of there and win the game.” Then the next day we have two available pitchers. Taylore Cherry and Trevor Kelly. and they sure do find a way to beat Virginia Tech. Thats the beauty of a sport like baseball.
