Finally, I have all the parts needed to build the Mini Expander and the SDDRIVE itself. The hold up was the 38-way edge connector that had a long order lead time - I went for an EDAC part 391-038-556-201. Yes, I could've used a wider one and cut-to-length but I thought this would be cleaner.

00:00 ... Start
04:20 ... Mini Expander is built
06:35 ... SDDRIVE is finished
07:33 ... After some troubleshooting
09:20 ... Booting the SDDRIVE
09:46 ... Testing the 512KByte RAM expansion
12:49 ... Trying "Boulderdash" ... aka "La Mine aux Diamants"
16:12 ... Trying "Vampire"
20:00 ... Final look at the Mini Expansion, SDDRIVE and joystick interface
21:04 ... Channel outro/thanks

As the machine has a SCART RGB video output I have it hooked up to my Sony DVD/HDD recorder again, which is outputting Component (Y/Pr/Pb) to HDMI, then HDMI to USB and then finally capturing on macOS with Quicktime.

I initially had some issues getting the SDDRIVE to work but Daniel was very quick to help on the Forums where he discovered I'd used the wrong version JED file to program the PLD ... duh! With the correct one, it was now working!
