UPDATE!!! Someone with an early copy posted this video showing that they take out the actual petting game, but leave the dialogue. This is sort of good news, as we still get the dialogue (though the ones that mention petting are going to be a little confusing, lol).

Sadly, dual audio is out completely, which means those of us who know some Japanese can't figure out the dialogue changes they've surely made. :( I guess it's not a complete loss, but I wouldn't call this a win either.

This is a first in what may become a serious where I give my thoughts (and some background info) on certain issues or things about games. As of 2/1/2016, Nintendo hasn't made an official statement on the skinship mini-game issue in the US version of Fire Emblem Fates. I explain the issue, some recent censorship, and similar games that deal with censorship, localization quirks, and even other games with skinship/petting in them.

No facecam for this, but I hope the photos and video I provided are entertaining enough. Or just listen to this like a podcast. And let me know your thoughts as well. The gaming community is a large place and I like to hear people with opinions that may not match my own.

All Fire Emblem games, Pokemon games, and I believe Xenoblade Chronicles X belong to Nintendo. Bravely Default belongs to Square-Enix. Fatal Frame 5 belongs to Koei-Tecmo (brought over by Nintendo to the US). The Yakuza games and Project Diva f games belong to Sega. The commentary, good or bad as it may be, belongs to me. ^_~
