In the fierce battle between tech titans Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk over the future of social media, Zuckerberg's Meta has gained a significant edge with its platform called Threads. A recent study reveals that Threads is proving to be a more effective platform for brands than Twitter, at least for the time being.

Instagram's head, Adam Mosseri, proudly announced that Threads achieved a remarkable milestone, attracting 100 million sign-ups in just five days since its launch on July 5, setting a new record as the fastest-growing app in history.

One of the key factors contributing to Threads' success is its seamless integration with Instagram, allowing users to easily sign up using their existing Instagram accounts.

The study conducted by Website Planet compared interactions of 30 brands on both Twitter and Threads, analyzing metrics such as followers, likes, and replies. The results were striking, showing that 87% of the brands experienced higher engagement on Threads, with an average engagement rate of 0.45%, significantly surpassing Twitter's meager 0.02%.

News media and entertainment companies displayed a heightened interest in Threads, quickly adopting the platform and actively posting more frequently compared to other types of brands.

Threads has shown great potential as a platform that fosters meaningful conversations, and Meta's latest social media venture is rapidly gaining momentum, presenting brands with a golden opportunity to reach a broader and more engaged audience.
