I went to my first chess tournament and played for five days, nine games total. This was a Swiss Style tournament held in the Washington, DC area, and since I was unranked (and the only beginner), I played much more experienced people who have been playing tournaments all their lives. By challenging myself this much, I learned so many lessons that will improve my chess playing so much. Explore with me together and see how a beginner can do against a 1440 and a 1570 player. What other lessons did you learn from this video? Let me know in the comments!
