My First Desperado Chess Move Was Unnecessary - First Chess Tournament Reflection
I was so proud to do my first Desperado move in chess, but it turns out it wasn't even necessary because I had a better move if I just thought about counter attacking. (So does that mean it wasn't really a Desperado move?) In any case, I went to my first chess tournament and played for five days, nine games total. This was a Swiss Style tournament, and since I was unranked (and the only beginner), I played much more experienced people who have been playing tournaments all their lives. However, by challenging myself this much, I learned so many lessons that will improve my chess playing so much. Explore with me together and see what lessons a beginner learns after he plays a not-so-good game against a 1400s ELO player.
