This episode of THUGGED OUT THURSDAY previews the New Xbox One Experience coming this November. I go into great detail discussing some of the new features, as well as comparing it to the previous User Interface.

HOME SCREEN - The Home Page of the dashboard has been broken down into three major sections. You have your Game Window that displays the current game you are playing. Below that, you have any recently played games or apps listed. The Pins Section is located at the bottom of the page for easy access to any particular game or app that you frequently use.

COMMUNITY PAGE - Very similar to the previous version, the community page has been effectively simplified. Acting somewhat like a social network, the main focus of the page is your Activity Feed. This displays the recent activity of your friends including: Achievements, Screen Shots, Recorded Game Clips, Status Posts and More. The other section on this page is called the Trending Section. This displays any subject matter that is currently getting a lot of attention. This includes: Announcement Videos, Games, Live Streams, Game Clips, and even individual Gamertags.

SPEED - The biggest improvement noticed within the New Xbox One Experience is the speed in which it operates. One of the biggest complaints towards the original Xbox One User Interface was how slowly it operated. Opening up or managing an application could at times become overly frustrating. However all of this has been improved upon. One of the biggest differences is the addition of the Quick Menu. By double tapping you Home Button, a list of multiple apps will open and be instantly ready to use. You no longer have to open up these applications separately.
