29This episode of THUGGED OUT THURSDAY discusses whether or not Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is worth buying. I go into great detail regarding my favorite aspects of the game while showcasing Multiplayer & Campaign gameplay.
The first thing you are going to notice when starting up the game is how improved the visuals are. The graphics of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition are phenomenal. The lighting, explosions, particle effects, and textures are all beautifully designed. The gameplay itself is also very well done. 60 FPS Full resolution makes the gameplay seem like a completely new video game experience. One specific part of the campaign that has been improved upon is the collecting of the COG tags. While collecting them, you gradually unlock the Gears of War Comic Book Series that is available to read In-game.
The Multiplayer of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is also better than ever. With dedicated servers, you will never have to deal with "Host Advantage" ever again. They also provide all 20 original and DLC maps from the first Gears installment. However, the most impressive aspect of this collection is how much content is included with the purchase. You are receiving Gears of War 1 completely re-mastered, all DLC multiplayer maps, and the rest of the Gears of War video game series to download for free come this Fall. All of this great content combined is priced at a low $40 dollars, making it a MUST HAVE for any gaming enthusiast.
