Thunder Force IV: Stage 8 Deathless

Stage 8 of Thunder Force IV (EU) is my favorite stage in the game. It has awesome music and great artwork. The end boss of the stage is a real douchebag though. He specializes in annoying homing butterflies that don't die when you deplete their health. Instead: they fall to the ground and erupt in vertical blue flames. That attack doesn't kill you but it DOES push you rapidly upwards. You can easily get trapped among lots of blue flame and be immediately crushed against the ceiling. The boss even tries to Kaizo Trap you at the end with more blue flames. This took me a little while to learn the stage on emulator, but only about 20 attempts once I started seriously going for deathless.
This was Normal difficulty. There is a Mania mode but I don't know how to activate it. This game doesn't have an options menu. -- Watch live at http://www.twitch.tv/shin_rekkoha
