Jason Schreier has been studying Japanese. Tim Rogers learned Japanese an entire lifetime ago.

Hello. I'm Tim Rogers. You are watching Kotaku Dot Com.

I believe that learning a language requires a multifaceted approach. Textbooks are good. Conversation with native speakers is excellent. Watching a TV show in the language and repeating the characters' dialogue line after line until your neighbors call the cops is another good tip. In the case of Japanese, we have a whole bountiful, beautiful library of vintage Super Famicom role-playing games to play through, reading each line of dialogue aloud and obsessing over the placement of every word. This might be the worst way to learn Japanese by itself, though as part of a multifaceted approach, it's . . . heck, I don't know. Maybe Jason Schreier will learn something. Mostly I just want to add some regularity to my Friday schedule while also getting to look at Chrono Trigger.
