With the end of year assessments approaching, Timber Ridge Elementary's Mrs. Zumwalde wanted her students to show off how much they had grown in reading and math this year. So, to help motivate them to do their best, she told her students that if they scored higher than their personal best on the STAR reading or STAR math test, they would be able to throw a pie in her face.
