Time for GAS
Here are the URLs for today's 5 GAS (Genuinely Approachable Sudoku) puzzles. Hat times are given as (two hats/one hat). Any correct solution gets you a dinosaur.
GAS 576 – Best Friends by Clover https://tinyurl.com/49zhsu9r
https://f-puzzles.com/?id=2pwjjg9u
Normal sudoku rules apply. Clues outside the grid tell you a pair of digits that must appear adjacent to each other (in either order) in that row or column. (7:00/13:00)
GAS 577 – Single Ladies by Bill Murphy https://tinyurl.com/mpdy695n
https://f-puzzles.com/?id=2kxfer64
Normal sudoku rules apply. Digits in cells with outward-pointing arrows must be higher than the digits in the indicated cells. (7:00/14:00)
GAS 578 – Another Sill-y Title by Philip Newman https://tinyurl.com/yc5xw73j
https://f-puzzles.com/?id=2njn2v4g
Normal sudoku rules apply. Each marked "window" region must contain each of the digits from 1 to 9 without repeats. (7:30/15:00)
GAS 579 – Chaos Construction by Clover
Penpa (preferred – for solution check, draw all edges inside the grid using the edge tool and enter the digits using the sudoku tool): https://tinyurl.com/2gxnd8qw
If you absolutely cannot use penpa, this CtC software link will allow you to solve the puzzle but you will miss out on some of the solving experience, as the answer check will trigger before the regions are drawn in (using the line tool): https://tinyurl.com/vppbbbxt
Fill the grid with the digits 1 through 6 so that each digit appears once in each row, column, and 6-cell region, to be determined by solver. The digit in each circle tells how many of the orthogonal cells plus the circle cell itself are part of the same region. (7:30/14:00)
GAS 580 – So Ubuji by Bill Murphy https://tinyurl.com/2p8d97hh
https://f-puzzles.com/?id=2ezy3g3v
Normal sudoku rules apply. Digits along an arrow sum to the number in the attached circle. (6:30/12:00)
