As a quick disclaimer, the Queen Metroid and Omega Metroid are based more on their AM2R counterparts as images for the Queen hadn't been announced when I started this drawing and I actually kinda prefer the original Omega Metroid...he looks like a dinosaur! 😁

Moving on, attempting to end it all on a high note, I don't think the timing could have been better!...other than if I had drawn this in time for the game release of course...

If you recently viewed my Lapse in Time videos, you may recall me referring to a drawing that was taking me a long time. This. This is the one! I actually started this a couple of weekends before the release of Samus Returns but due to me being a bot more lax (lazy) about drawing a bit more sociable in thw real world, I fell behind massively and finished it around a month ago...of course, given the result, I couldn't care less about how long it took as this is one drawing that I can definitely say I'm proud of and so, that's why I think it was well timed!

Your support throughout the years has not gone unnoticed. I am honestly thankful for every single comment, like and/or subscriber I have ever gotten and just honoured to have been able to get to know you! I've been told on a few occasions that I should have more subs that I do but this again is more a quality over quantity thing. I can happily say that 3000+ subs was a number that I new thought I'd reach. That's not even considering the fact that every single one is just an awesome human being!

And it's the same with ny drawings. While I've been trying to bust one out every week to provide that quantity, I feel that the quality has begun to waver and isn't what you deserve. This is obviously only part of the reason as I have my own things to do to but this is a big element of why I feel taking time off is worthwhile. Going back to this drawing, it goes to show that although it took freaking ages, I'd be happy ending it with this one.

In regards to the game by the way, I thought it was epic and EVERYONE should check it out! That's not to say that if you haven't player AM2R though that you should give it a miss! Play both!! I was so stoked to hear that a new 2d Metroid was on its way and this game did not disappoint! After playing through the Prime Trilogy last year aswell, Prime 4 cannot come soon enough!!

In conclusion, from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you, thank you so much! I consider myself lucky every day to have at least been able to interact with you because of this channel and so I, more than anyone, hope this isn't the end.

Much like Samus, I hope that one day I too will return.

I know I say this every video but WHAT a tune! It's crazy really because I really hated Return of Samus. Especially it's soundtrack! After playing AM2R though, I absolutely loved the game and the soundtrack! With the release of Samus Returns, I think I'd place it only slightly below AM2R in terms of the game and the soundtrack...all except for this one song. Although the ambience of the AM2R rendition is perfect for setting the tone, the upbeat beauty of the Samus Returns rendition is truly a masterpiece!
