0Moonring is a retro-inspired open-world, turn-based, tile RPG created by Fluttermind, co-creator of the Xbox's Fable series. It is set in the world of Caldera, which was plunged into darkness five hundred years ago. Decades later, five moons rose in the sky, bringing light to the world and strange Gods with it. With them came the Dreams: calls to Devotion promising supernatural Gifts.
You play as a Dreamless one, free to choose your own destiny in this world of Devotion and Dreamers, Gods and Gifts. You can travel, trade, sneak, fight, and sail the world of Caldera, speaking with the townsfolk, learning Caldera's secrets, and challenging the Archon for his throne... or even overthrowing the Gods themselves!
Moonring features a unique character advancement system that eschews both experience points and skill-based levelling. Instead, you gain Devotional Gifts by completing tasks for the five gods. These gifts can grant you a wide range of abilities, from enhanced combat prowess to the ability to communicate with animals or walk through walls.
The game also features a dynamic world system, with the dungeons beneath the surface reconfiguring each time you leave or die. This keeps the game fresh and challenging, even on subsequent playthroughs.
