Tiny Combat Arena - My First Sortie , quick battle
After hours of adjusting, testing, setting up controls I have recorded my first attempts at a sortie. Love the retro look of the graphics. I was having trouble figuring out which joystick or HOTAS to use as I was having some axis problems. There are plenty of adjustments for the axis and calibrations. The throttle was giving me a problem as it felt non responsive. As well as the X axis feeling a bit sluggish. I think I have it figured out now after this video. However the aircraft flight dynamics have me a little skiddish when my air speed drops below 100 knots or there abouts. The aircraft just drops like a rock as if there is no more lift. Mostly when I attempt to land and even when the flaps are deployed, makes no difference. So I end up coming in a bit faster than what I normally do. It took me days to figure out how to engage the afterburner. Because the game creation revolves around the Harrier jet and has no afterburner. The aircraft I am flying are mods downloaded from the workshop. So the answer is to bind a key or button to the Throttle Up Digital. Once in the aircraft bring throttle up to 100% and then press that button or key you set for Digital Throttle Up and hold it there. Love the graphics, love the audio, fun gameplay.
