Tips and Tricks for Beginners in New World | What You Need to Know

As we enjoy the brand new game New World, it brings me much happiness to be able to help others out along the journey. This episode we go over some things that I feel like would benefit new players that are new to the New World.


1. play with all weapons types
play with all weapons and weapons types to find out what you like best and what you want to use early on
you can always change, but gets harder to change well later on
build skill levels for each weapon
2. do passive skills
There are 5 passive skills
logging – logging axe
mining – mining pickaxe
fishing – fishing pole
harvesting – harvesting sickle
tracking and skinning – skinning knife
all go up to level 200
higher level the quicker you can do action
higher level the better outcomes

3. change keys to make it easier
auto run is (=)
map is (m)
4. get food
skinning animals then cooking
sickle to harvest plants in world
in chests
5. know damage types
Orange (critical hit) – in back or weak spot
Yellow (strong against hit)
White (normal hit)
Blue ( weak against)
6. try different abilities
each weapon has different abilities, play with them early so you know what you like when specing your character
try one side and then try the other to play with stuff
7. craft better tools when available
tier 1 flint 100 gathering rate
tier 2 iron 123-225% lvl 4-19
tier 3 steel 240-350% lvl 16-39
tier 4 starmetal 370-550% lvl 33-59
tier 5 orichalcum 560-850% lvl 51-60

8. every 5 levels, upgrade weapons
find a weapon you like and get a new one or better one about every 5 levels
otherwise you continue to do same damage to higher level enemies with lower chances of kills
9. keep track of where things spawn
use website and map
10. town board quests
puts resources to good use
gain ton of xp
gain little coins
gain faction respect
helps with territory
stuff you already have laying around
11. HAVE FUN
