About Mission (Cooper's Logbook):
The Pilot's Gauntlet is the first mission of Titanfall 2's single-player campaign. The mission serves as the player tutorial as Captain Tai Lastimosa of the Frontier Militia goes through the "Pilot's Gauntlet" with Rifleman Jack Cooper of the 41st Militia Rifle Battalion. The map aesthetic for the Gauntlet would later be used in creating the multiplayer map Glitch.
"BT-7274" is the second mission of Titanfall 2's single-player campaign. The Frontier Militia arrives on the planet Typhon to investigate IMC facilities, but their forces are routed and scattered across the planet by orbital cannons upon arrival and massed infantry forces on the ground led by the Apex Predators. The next morning, Rifleman Jack Cooper slowly becomes Pilot Jack Cooper as he explores the crashsite of the MCS James MacAllan and establishes a link with the Vanguard Titan BT-7274 before evading IMC capture.
After their successes in Titanfall about five years prior, the soldiers of the Militia haven taken over 25% of the Frontier and continue their fight against the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation.
The protagonist, Jack Cooper, is a Grunt with the Militia. Serving under Captain Lastimosa, he is secretly trained to be a Pilot. Lastimosa is killed in action during an operation on Typhon and his Titan BT-7274 is forced to link up with Cooper in order to finish the mission.
The 9th Militia Fleet is en route to attack an IMC controlled planet called Typhon. Zero civilian presence - I only know that it houses an "IMC military research facility". Aboard the James MacAllan, my pilot training continues with captain Lastimosa, a master level Pilot. I'm not sure why he chose to be my mentor, but this is an opportunity I'd be crazy to pass up.

ABOUT THIS GAME:
Titanfall 2 is a science-fiction first-person shooter video game and a sequel to Titanfall. It was developed by Respawn Entertainment and was released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows on October 28, 2016. It was released on Steam on June 18, 2020.
The game is set five years following the destructive Battle of Demeter in the original Titanfall. The Militia have gained significant ground in the Frontier War, and IMC forces are on the defensive. The Militia's campaign leads them to the IMC world of Typhon, the planet that serves as the central focus of the game's story.
The player plays as the Militia Rifleman Jack Cooper, as he is forced to become a Pilot against all odds. The Titan BT-7274 serves as the deuteragonist of the game.
