Episode Rating: 8.5

Shredder has succeeded in turning Karai into a brainwashed puppet. She gives her one goal: go after the Turtles, Splinter and their human allies. She does so and this forces Leo to do the impossible and stop Karai. Though he knows that Karai may be beyond saving, there is still the matter of saving the others. At least it ended on a high note.

This episode was intense from start to finish. Karai is now evil but not by choice. She’s forced to serve the Shredder thanks to a mind-control worm. Just terrific. She strikes without mercy and it really got intense. Honestly it’s just one heck of an issue. What made it better was Leo and yeah, it’s a Leo focused episode. He got his chance to shine and seeing him go through impossible odds is just insane. That to me was my highlight along with the spar between Leo and Splinter. It lead to a meditation session that served to help Leo big time.
