In To Be Hero X, it’s almost impossible not to put X at the top of any character discussion. He’s the driving force of the series, the emotional anchor, and the most stylish figure on screen. But that’s exactly why, for this discussion, I’ve decided to leave X out of the running. Instead, I want to shine a spotlight on the other characters who bring this series to life, by putting them through a personal “tournament” to see who stands out the most.
The format is simple: I’ll compare characters head-to-head, match by match, and talk about who I prefer in each matchup. Sometimes it comes down to personality, sometimes design, and other times it’s about the emotional weight they carry in the story. Each round eliminates one character until I finally reach the one who, for me, is the best character in To Be Hero X besides X. What makes this process fun is how subjective it is — the character who wins for me might not win for you. But that’s the heart of it: these kinds of tournaments open up discussion, let fans debate passionately, and give proper recognition to a cast of characters that too often live in X’s shadow.
