Back to Subnautica Full Release and first thing on the agenda is rescuing Gary who's stuck out in the Kelp Forest with no power surrounded by Stalkers. You need a Power Cell these days, not a battery so we make one of those and he's good to go again! :D We got another message too from Alterra HQ!! They mention something in the captains quarters of the Aurora that may help us.

Next it's over to our severely underdeveloped base to get some power going. Power will give us oxygen too. The easiest way available to us is solar panels and with them in place we have somewhere to call home other than our escape pod at long last. it's a bit lacking in the interior decor department but we can build a locker at least and the basis of a window if not the window itself because we're poor /cry.

With the survival stuff done it's off to a distress beacon out near the Aurora in the irradiated area that we can now access due to our radiation suit. It's weird out here especially down on the bottom. life is sparse and what IS out here is super weird and new to us! :o Unfortunately Lifepod 4 the source of the distress beacon is long dead with a hole in the side. We're able to grab creature decoy blueprints from it and some tragic abandoned PDA stuff but that's it.

The Aurora is right there though! I decided it was time to check it out. The front end looks like the best place to start as being on fire and full of holes in this case actually may be our best hope for finding a way inside. Upon arrival we're warned that we have 24 hour to contain damage or the area will be destroyed. WELL CRAP O_O The area is riddled with crabs but also neatly boxed supplies and tons of fire and debris. Among it all though there's something I didn't actually think we'd find - a door, a way inside the Aurora!
