In events like this I usually pop on my camera and sit it in my pocket just to have a record of the event, should something happen (does this count as paranoia?)

Long story short, drunk kid tried leaving gated complex as wife and I were driving in from a dinner at the in-laws. He knocked the gate off the rails and I talked him out of the car to let me drive him back to his apartment.

The story I tell about the cops and the drinking are exaggerated to get the kid to loosen up and let me get him home. Once he got out of the car, I turned off the camera and watched him walk up and into his apartment.

Just thought it was one of those cool "fate/chance" moments where 2 minutes too soon or too late would've changed this kid's life.
