★Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint - Part 23★
Set six years after the events of Wildlands, there is trouble brewing on Auroa, a fictional island in the South Pacific owned by a billionaire entrepreneur and philanthropist named Jace Skell. When an American cargo ship sinks nearby and all communication is cut off, CIA initiates Operation Greenstone. A Ghost Recon platoon is tasked with re-establishing contact with the island and finding out what is going on… Things go to hell from the start as the choppers are shot down by a drone swarm. Nomad is one of the survivors and begins his long journey of fixing the situation — while getting a few answers along the way.
Breakpoint received a much harsher reception than Wildlands and, well, honestly? Even after all the updates, I can still see the reasons why. I think I am most salty about the changes they made to travelling. Having to activate a safe spot to spawn a vehicle? Really? Of course, they don’t handle that well in the first place. Considering how much distance you have to cross and often backtrack pursuing various quests, I resigned myself to teleporting, just to save time. And I know that I say that quite often, but Breakpoint is one of those games that I would never bother playing the legit way. It would take way too much time. Guilty pleasure or not…
