From developer Red Storm Entertainment. One of four Tom Clancy games for the PS2, this is kind of an average tactical shooter. Controls are pretty basic, and there's no character model or gun rendered, kinda making it feel like you're a floating eye moving and shooting across the battlefield. There's no auto-heal, and as you get injured it becomes progressively harder to move, leading to actually tense moments as you slowly limp behind cover, constantly scanning around for unseen enemies. The enemies in this game are fairly well split between those hiding quite invisibly behind bushes and trees and those standing around carelessly in empty fields simply asking to be shot. With the damage indicator often ineffective, it's easy to be quickly shot at by unseen opponents, and frequently I found myself taking cover without any idea where the shots had come from. The AI of your squad-mates is decent enough at ferreting out enemy soldiers, and there were many times I just traced their gunfire to the enemies' locations.
