This is the accessibility review for Tom Clancy's The Division 2. Division 2 is a shooter with RPG elements. I was very excited when this game first came out and bought it soon after only to realize tthat what I had heard about how accessible it would be was not totally as expected. Although the game boasts many great accessibility features including text to speech and menu narration, it falls short for a number of reasons. As you can see in the video, the main menu is not narrated. This is a true dissapointment since the settings tab clearly is. Pause menu is narrated on the top level, but you find that after you select an option the information is not narrated. This really takes away from blind players being able to successfully play this game independently. I would like to thank Ubisoft for the menu narration that has been put in place so far, but I hope that more narration and in game sound ques are to come. Navigation is a struggle as you will also see in the video, and I think that adding sound ques to the GPS line navigation would be a huge success for allowing blind and visually impaired gamers play and navigate to objectives. Also digging deeper into the pause screen menu and allowing for options such as progression to be accessible to be read is crucial. This leads me to my next suggestion, please make the main menu accessible to be read. Logically it makes no sense for the settings tab to be accessible, and not the main menu. I would really like to play this game and future Ubisoft titles and I hope that I can come back and do another accessibility review for this game and let viewers know that changes were made and this game is modestly playable for blind and visually impaired gamers.
