"Tomb Raider 4" Walkthrough Part 73 (Level 23 "Citadel Gate" Part 1 of 3) (1st visit) (Read Script)
0Welcome back to Part 73 of "Tomb Raider 4" Walkthrough, here is "Citadel Gate" (1st visit). In this video for thislevel for the "1st visit" of the location a cinematic (where you see the wounded soldiers), items to find in this level, there is only "1 Secret" (along with finding "Nitrous Oxide Canister"). One of the enemies to watch out for a "Dragon" (watch out for the fireballs that come out of his mouth, also be careful not to catch yourself on fire). Lots watch out for the army of small flies (don't let them take your life away), watch out for "2 Crocodiles", more crouching and crawling, "Switches" to pull (one of them being a switch lever puzzle-Location with "Coffins", "Bells" and "Switches"), also switches on ropes to get to places.

0:01 Level start (also explaining the details of this level) and make your way forward to "Wounded Soldier" (Cinematic: With "Lara" and the "Wounded Soldier").
2:20 Pick up "Grenade Ammo", run through the "Misty Fog".
2:41 Cinematic (The Fire Breathing Dragon).
2:55 Pick up "Small Health Pack" (along with "Grenade Ammo").
3:27 Run as fast as you can (and be careful not to take damage or catch yourself on fire from the dragon).
3:44 Run down the zigzag passageway (while being chased by an army of flies) and shoot the "2 Crocodiles").
4:48 Crawl through the "Crawlspace" (with the crocodiles out of the way) and pick up Items: "Grenade Ammo", "Crossbow" (pick up items that the crocodiles were guarding).
5:23 Crawl your way out of the crawlspace
5:46 Turn left, fall down below (Lever Switches Puzzle) (platforms to climb to pull third switch, back down to ground to pull 4th switch in the middle).
7:51 Fall down through the hole (1st hole), use "Crowbar" to pull lever. (To open door).
8:27 Make your way out of the hole, go to the other hole, go to the door you opened and pull 5th switch.
9:00 Climb out of the hole, go to the opened door, run up the ramp to the very top (With the "Flies" and "Bats" chasing after you).
9:53 Cinematic: (High up above ground where you're at). (End of video afterwards).
Being chased by an army of "Flies" (for what's happening in this level chasing Lara), is like a reference to "The Thief and the Cobbler", where the "Thief" (Jonathan Winters) is being bothered by the "Army of Flies" chasing him (while up to his no good wrongdoings of stealing anything he sees in sight for being a pickpocket troublemaker, especially "Stealing The Three Golden Orbs" (also known as the "3 Golden Balls"), and with the "City of Baghdad" (where "Thief and the Cobbler" takes place) in a crisis.
The "Crocodiles" (in this level and the previous levels of this game) also appeared in "The Thief and the Cobbler" with "Zigzag" (the main antagonist of "The Thief and the Cobbler" voice actor "Vincent Price") (the same actor who also voiced "Ratigan" in "The Great Mouse Detective" (1986 Disney film).
The "Alligators" in "The Thief and the Cobbler" (in the scenes with "Zigzag" are what "Zigzag" calls the "Alligators" his friends).
Zigzag was also the final movie role (as well as voice role) for "Vincent Price" who passed away October 25th 1993 (4 Days before "The Nightmare Before Christmas" came out in the movie theatres on October 29th 1993). (Also the 30th anniversary of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" in October 2023).
