Tombi!/Tomba! (PS1) | The Rarest Game in my Collection!?
This is a review of Tombi (or Tomba, as it's known in America), which was developed by Whoopee Camp, published by Sony Computer Entertainment and released in 1998 for the PS1. Because there was never very many copies of the game printed, it quickly became one of the rarer games on the original PlayStation. What made it even more sought after was the fact that it was actually promoted quite heavily in magazines and was even featured on demo discs too, meaning that lots of people knew about it, but very few would have managed to actually get hold of it.
I'm one of the lucky people who actually got this game when it first released as a Christmas present in 1998 after playing the demo and it's remained an integral part of my collection ever since. I have extremely fond memories of Tombi, but does it actually live up to those memories? Let's find out together!
