When conceptualizing the TOME series, I designed the animation style to be done in a way that was easily-producible, so long episodes could be produced by a small team in a short time-span. Since the story takes place within the confines of a giant video game, I felt that stylistically using "sprites" would be a great way to get across many scenes in an easy and simple way. Not necessarily pixel art, but stock animations of each character standing, running, jumping, taking damage and performing attacks, along with anything else necessary. On this special video, I've compiled just about all of the main character sprite animations together in one place for a showcase of the series' giant cast that decorated the Terrain of Magical Expertise for 4 years!

TOME: Terrain of Magical Expertise, is a Flash-Animated webseries about a futuristic virtual reality game from the year 2020. The story focuses on five players in the world of TOME, who become wrapped up in the activity of some bizarre hackers, searching the game for an item called "The Forbidden Power". Follow the adventures of our heroes, Alpha, Kirbopher, Flamegirl, Gamecrazed and Nylocke in the Terrain of Magical Expertise!
