Made with Bizhawk: Rewinds, 25% speed during gameplay, the occasional unintentional (otherwise cycle-accurate since ran and recorded in bsnes) bug.

This is one of my favourite Mega Man games (a franchise I love a lot and which I grew up with, starting with IV on the NES) because of its vibrant graphics full of personality and tiny little details everywhere that in my opinion makes it the better looking game between 7 and 8; the great music whose instrument samples (remember that SNES music is much closer to MOD tracker formats in its operation than MIDI and FM synthesis like with the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive) sounds clear and have that classic 16-bit aura that companies like Nintendo, Konami and Capcom were particularly adept at during this era; the often eerie atmosphere and the non-canon, english-only hilarity/coolness of the child robot Mega Man turning into a violent, vengeful robot. Bass is kinda cool too.

It's one of the easiest Mega Man games but then you reach Dr Wily and you realize that all of the game's difficulty was hiding there. Other than the brutal challenge of Dr Wily's Capsule that the game's own developers famously could not defeat without using at least one E-Tank, it's one of the most approachable titles and one of the prettiest too.

I wanna pat the polar bear robits.
